A POEM ABOUT READING

OUR DEAR BOOK
by Ana Babić, Katarina Savić, Sanja Živančević, Aleksandra Pantelić, Marko Lazić and Nikola Tatić

Sue and Hird and Peter Maggs,
you are our dear friends.

You are a shoulder to cry on,
and you have a dream job.

You make food for thought,
on the open road.

You write for us about the world’s best beach
and you are so rich.

When we are bored, we look for our book
but it’s eaten by a mouse, in a big blue house.

We also like pictures in the book, to look.

We like to listen to your poems or not,
and in our classroom it’s cold or hot.

The sky is no longer limit
for us to learn English every minute.

We wish you all the best
and you should do the rest.
