Charity campaign: Save the animals | Build a shelter for animals
Operation deadline: The first stage is to be completed within a 6-month period
Animals, primarily dogs and cats, are mistreated everyday, all around Serbia
People are uninformed about the animal rights
Animals are tortured, poisoned...
Goals:
Raise awareness of people about the animal rights and ways to properly treat animals.
Raise funds to build and maintain a multi-species animal shelter. In the first stage, a sum of 100.000 Euros is needed for the construction of the shelter.
Bring up this issue in the media and influence the government to change its policies
Target groups:
General population
Mainstream and local media
Politicians
Government
“How can you help?” [For the general population]
Donate money to build shelter
Volunteer during the construction of the shelter
Donate basic sustenance for animals once the shelter has been built
Participate in public events intended to raise this issue
Events:
Organize public and private events all around Serbia
Public events should be held in town squares, convention centers and similar locations
Private events should be organized for certain high profile parties: politicians, businessmen and others
Mass media and social networking sites should also be used to popularize this issue

Luka – Distribute leaflets – every day, all day
Vesna – Draft and execute all money raising operations (door to door collection, sponsorships, and others)
Nikola – Coordinate everything, look after high-profile-party relations
Don't be mean to animals. The fact that we are superior to them doesn't mean we have the right to mistreat them!!

ReplyDeleteI have a neighbor molesting all the animals in the neighborhood and I know how hard it is to fight against it. This cause is very noble. Good job!
